Questions about the campaign

Will the Capitol be available at the end of the campaign?

The goal of the Capitole campaign is to gather as many pre-orders as possible by the campaign's closing date. If the target of €75,000 is reached, we will launch production of the Capitole, which will take approximately one year (mold making, prototypes, box production, etc.). Otherwise, the project will not proceed, and everyone will be refunded within a few days of the campaign's end.

The two Capitole sets, each containing 5 pieces, are exclusive to this crowdfunding campaign. They will not be available after the campaign closes and will never be produced again.

Are the prices specific to the campaign?

As a backer supporting the production of this Capitol and the innovations of AZAR MODELS, you benefit from a preferential price on the exclusive sets offered during this pre-order campaign.

Future production runs of this type of set (but not the Capitol, which is exclusive to this campaign) will be at a higher price.

How can I participate in the fundraiser?

The principle behind this crowdfunding campaign is to pre-order a Capitole set at a preferential price in exchange for your support. You must therefore select the set you wish to receive. It is also possible to make a symbolic contribution by ordering the Capitole collector's wagon, specially released for this campaign.

Click on the "Capitole sets" tab to view the list of available sets and select the one that interests you. If you are already an azar-models.com customer, you will be asked to log in with your account; otherwise, you will need to create one. Finally, you will proceed to the order and payment process to finalize your pre-order and support the project.

Please also share this on your social networks and with your friends and family. This will help raise awareness of the project and increase its chances of success!

What payment solutions are offered?

We offer four payment options to join the CAPITOLE adventure, two of which offer deferred payment.

You choose the option that suits you best at the end of the ordering process:

✅ via PayPal (in 1 or 4 installments with no fees!),

✅ by credit card,

✅ by bank transfer,

✅ by check (up to 3 checks can be cashed in 3 installments: at the end of the campaign, on June 1st, and on July 1st) to be sent directly to AZAR MODELS.

Can I pay in installments by check?

For French people only, we offer you the option to reserve your item by paying in three installments, which will be cashed starting at the end of the campaign according to the following schedule:

- 1st check for one-third of your contribution amount, cashed at the end of the campaign,

- 2nd check for one-third of the amount, cashed on June 1st,

- 3rd check for one-third of the amount, cashed on July 1st.

The checks will only be cashed if the campaign goal is reached.

To participate, select your contribution level and complete your order. Send your 3 checks, made payable to AZAR MODELS and including your order reference, to:

AZAR MODELS

2 rue Robert Schuman

44400 REZE

Your contribution will be credited in full to the project page upon receipt, and the checks will be cashed starting May 1st only if the goal is reached.

What happens if the fundraising campaign is not funded?

If the 100% funding goal is not reached, the project will not proceed. Participants will be reimbursed via their original payment method within 15 days of the campaign's end.

Questions about the Capitole models

Which compatible digital control unit do you recommend for your Capitole digital train sets ?

We equip our current models with multi-protocol digital decoders, and there are no restrictions on any particular control unit. Our locomotives will work with all of them.

Can digital versions work on an analog layout ?

The digital decoders we use for our digital locomotives have an automatic analog-compatible mode. Unfortunately, the decoder "understands" that it must switch to analog mode above a certain analog current level (5-6 volts), so there's no possibility of slowing down and the locomotive starts directly at more than 50% of its speed. This makes it difficult to use and we don't recommend it.
